This is the second book in the series I’m reading. As was the case with Anna Karenina, I liked also this book and I found it useful. The accent marks in the text and the two speed levels of the audio files greatly contribute to improving listening (and speaking) skills and memorizing new words and phrases.
The English translations of the difficult words/phrases and the comprehension questions at the end of each chapter help learn new vocabulary.
I found it enjoyable and fit for a pre-intermediate and also, perhaps, for an intermediate level of language knowledge. I strongly recommend this book of the Graded Readers to Russian learners wishing to access original Russian literature and steady progress in this area of study.
