WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
CAROL HADEN – USA
This format of reading, listening and learning Russian is excellent! Kristina has done a comprehensive and professional job with all of these books! I have several levels of books on my iPhone and iPad. It is easy to access them when I have some down time and continue reinforcing and learning more Russian.
KARTINI SAPARUDIN – SINGAPORE
I learned many new words along the way. I read this book daily to prepare for my Russian B1 exams. I passed the exams with flying colors. Now, I think students will benefit more if they read their books every day. I bought all Kristina’s book. I hope to use this to revise for my B2 exams.
ROSANA MAJC – SLOVENIA
I love Jane Eyre. It is one of my favorite books. I believe that reading is an effective way to learn the foreign language. The way this book is structured helps me learn a new vocabulary. It also helps because the stressed vowels in the book show the correct pronunciation. I highly recommend this and other books in the collection.
DAN FLICK – USA
I had watched the Orson Wells movie before but thought it was boring. But this book is NOT boring, it makes me want to rewatch the movie. It was a perfectly distilled version of the story that everyone should read. The book is short and packed with all kinds of info and is highly entertaining. It provided tons of useful vocabulary, a lot of which is reinforced several times which really helps it stick.
MARIA CULMER – UK
What a lovely book! The grammar is easy and accessible to all and knowing the story helps you along with some of the vocab!! The chapters are short, so easy to read in one sitting, giving you confidence to read more. Although this is one of the longer books that Kristina has produced, I think it is one of the more accessible in terms of language. A good one to start with if you are a beginner and have got basic grammar under your belt.
ABBY – USA
I owe ALL of my progress to Kristina’s graded readers. Before her books, I was stuck at the beginner level with constant vocabulary games and grammar videos. I started reading her books over and over, and now I am at an intermediate level and I actually LIKE my time spent with the Russian language. I would buy all her books – but Jane Eyre was the first one I purchased to get started actually acquiring the language.
RAZVAN BALAJI – Cyprus
I have read most of your books, they are very good, effective and the slow audio very helpful…excellent, Kristina, you’ve done a wonderful job.
VANESSA SAGER – USA
Reading is one of the best ways to improve vocabulary in any language learning endeavor, but it’s so hard to find appropriately scaffolded reading material as a beginner-ish Russian learner. This book has it all though. It pushed me to learn new words and structures but didn’t make it so overwhelming that I had to look things up in the dictionary every other word. Glossaries at the end of each section were really helpful as was the reuse of new words. I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to moving on to one written by a Russian writer!
SHONA LAMOUREAUX – NEW ZEALAND
An excellent way to improve your understanding of Russian. The books and audio are a great way to supplement other learning tools. The stories are interesting and well summarized from their “long” versions. Chapter lengths are perfectly bite sized for when you don’t have a lot of time to spend studying. I appreciate having both slow and normal versions of the audio as well as having the accent depicted for every single word. Thanks Kristina!
PAUL PARKER – UK
This classic English novel is beautifully edited, translated and read with great sensitivity by Kristina. The Russian we hear at both slow and normal speeds is very accessible and user-friendly. The text is very clearly displayed and the small sections with dedicated vocabulary printed below are perfect for vocabulary acquisition and consolidation. The story itself is naturally engaging and the process of listening in Russian is both very enjoyable and very stimulating at the same time. Attuning one’s ear to the Russian language I find one of the hardest of the language acquisition tasks and this method of presenting it is at once both interesting and highly effective.
